Yep, I also heard the Australia/Japan thing and also something about another Kodak lab in France.

I tend to believe the Kodak/Dwayne's hypothesis because we ran a very unscientific poll on 8mmfilmshooting.com where everybody who answered told where they were from and how the last roll of film they received was packaged. In every last case it was Europe=black plastic and North America=white cardboard. Now I'll admit this is not absolutely conclusive (on the odd chance Switzerland packages the two regions differently for some unknown reason), but it's a likely indicator.

...but then again, as long as the film shows up properly processed in a reasonable amount of time, it doesn't really matter where it is done.

    Just can't abide the mystery!

    Cool

How about we plant a small radio transmitter inside a cart of K40, send it off to New Jersey, then get a room in Parsons, KS and listen for the signal. If the signal shows up, we'll know.

I don't have the money for such a project. Maybe we could interest Michael Moore. He could call it Kodak, Dwayne and Me.

    Or Bowling for Kodachrome.

    Or Fahrenheit K40.

    Hmmmmm....

Radio transmitter, eh? I was thinking about an ultra miniature GPS hidden in a sprocket hole!

I wonder if the black reel you got from Dwayne's means they farm their excess business back to Switzerland!

Looks like we are going to have the Dwayne's/Fair Lawn/Switzerland mystery answered once and for all. The talk on the winds is that Fair Lawn is going to close in August.

...of course wouldn't it be just like Kodak to give us yet another PO box and keep us baffled!!
